The Churchill Cup is an annual rugby union tournament, held in June, that is contested by representative men's teams from Canada, England, the United States, and other invited teams (currently three, originally one) from a wide array of countries; in 2010, the invited teams will be from France, Russia, and Uruguay. The tournament was launched in 2003 aiming to develop and grow the sport of rugby union in North America. The Churchill Cup winners for 2009 were Ireland A, now known as Ireland Wolfhounds.
